17th century map of Nottinghamshire

A 17th century copperplate engraving showing the county of Nottinghamshire. Indented pressed mark visible beyond the outer ink or 'neat' line.Binding fold visible down the centre from the reverse. Early maps such as this one were almost always housed in bindings and not displayed singularly. This example is in very good condition, with later hand coloured tinting, 18th century Hogarth type frame.
