A Caucasian Kazak design rug
An old hand knotted wool pile rug from the Caucasus. Kazak design of three hexagonal central medallions with geometric patterns. Vegetable dyed bold colours, predominantly terracotta and indigo. Medium pile with minor even wear. A well drawn bold rug in very good condition overall. First half of the 20th century.
