British impressionist painter George Leon Little 1862-1941. Oil on canvas housed in a high quality watergilt frame. Painting and frame both in very good condition. Lovely atmospheric painting. Little exhibited at first London Salon of the Allied Artists Association in 1908 and again in 1909, this painting may be the one titled The Farm Road, with a considerable price tag of £45.
The AAA was founded in 1908 with the purpose of exhibiting and promoting modernist art in Britain. One Wassily Kandinsky made his first appearance at one of these early exhibitions.
