Two large petrified wood slices
Two super examples of petrified wood. Both are thicker than most examples and have a large girth. Smoothed and polished on one surface the other left natural, and with the bark on. Make unusual and stylish chopping boards or simply display objects. From Madagascar, Triassic period around 200 million years old. The fallen tree undergoes petrification when due to pressure and heat over many tens of thousands of years the wood is replaced by minerals.
